DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to an agreement approved by the Iowa State Highway Commission on October 2, 1974, Iowa 209 in Iowa County should be deleted from the Primary Road System.  Iowa 209 junctions with Iowa 149 approximately 4 miles north of Williamsburg and extends easterly into the unincorporated village of Conroy.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Remove Iowa 209 in Iowa County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the NW Corner of Section 22‑T80N‑R10W; thence east, south and east to a point in the village of Conroy, approximately 900 feet south and 200 feet west of the N ¼ Corner of Section 22‑T80N‑R10W.

 

NOW, THEREFORE:  Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the removal of Iowa 209 in Iowa County, Iowa.

 

NOTE:  To become effective when the conditions of the signed agreement are met.
